Trip Coffin (MESS / Also Known As)
Currently based in Boulder, Colorado, USA, Trip's adventures with MESS started in 1997, where he quickly found his tribe. This family of like minded weirdos honored a strong DIY ethos, and shared passion for playing music in the most gorgeous and inspirational locations available: the Rocky Mountain landscapes of Colorado. Their curation of the legendary Full Moon parties, indelibly shaped the underground techno culture in Colorado and neighboring lands. While many things change in that amount of time, his passion for deep psychedelic grooves and outdoor gatherings remain constant. After a hiatus to spend time with family and pursue other passions, Trip has been back for the last few years with new inspiration and a different perspective: not bound by any particular genre or style. You can find him every August co-hosting AKA’s annual “Freq the Peaks” gathering in the Spanish Peaks wilderness in southern Colorado.
